I am in very bad need of dentures. I am on disability and unable to return to work at the moment. I was married for 20 yrs and had good dental insurance. During that time, I had a dental implant on the right bottom side of my mouth. I also have a permanent crown on the top front of my mouth. However, the dental crown had lost its porcelain, and now it is black.
I have 5 real teeth left on the top front. My implant does no good because there are no teeth on the top to match up with to chew. I receive $678.00 a month. My rent is $350 and I pay for utilities. I get help with my gas bill during the winter months from LEAP. I did had a car, but it was very old and broken down and had to go to junk yard. I'm unable to replace it. There is no possible way for me to pay for dentures, after I paying my basic bills each month. I have no family members to help.
I will be 48 years old soon and consider myself fairly decent looking, but with out my teeth, I very seldom smile anymore. I used to have a beautiful smile, but now, I don't feel decent anymore. I don't go out much. Since I lost my smile, I feel like I've lost a big part of me. I don't know where else to turn. If I had my smile back, I might could go to school for something I could do and work again in the future and get my life back. Right now, even if I could work, I don't think anyone would hire me because of the way I look. Thank you for the chance to at least try to get dentures.
