Get the latest dental school events across the US. Find free dental treatment opportunities from both private dentists, dental schools and dental students requesting patients for dental procedures.
Schools may announce free dental care for children and/or adults, coupons for cleanings, discounted fees for procedures or new research projects open to the general public.
While events can be offered throughout the year, many typically are announced annually, as early as February. This is the month that the American Dental Association (ADA) kicks off the battle for oral health care by sponsoring the National Children's Dental Health Month.
Dental students will often need patients for upcoming clinical examinations (i.e, the National Boards or NERBS). They need to work on patients in order to qualify for their dental license. Many dental schools conduct the exams during the early Spring, but it can take place several times each year. You should contact the dental school directly for more information. In some instances, patients may receive not only a free dental procedure, but be paid for time and travel expenses as well.
Whether an event is advertised by a dental school or private dentist, in many instances, the number of patient volunteers accepted is limited. It is important that potential patients contact the program coordinators as soon as possible for consideration. The Dental Clinic Manager is not responsible for any events that are no longer active and you must contact the programs directly for details about any clinical events that are listed.
Check this page often, as events are constantly added for the benefit of the public. Consider joining the Dental Clinic Manager RSS Feed or Newsletter to get information as it becomes available. You are also welcome to submit a request for dental work, in the hopes that someone may actually be in a position to offer their assistance.
