Dental Discount Plan Networks
Dr. Collura
Dental discount plan networks are designed to save money on dental services, without sacrificing quality.
While there are private dentists who provide free dental work to many patients in a dental school setting, similar to the students, these dentists also need patients in their own offices. And because more and more people are saving on dental fees by joining dental plan networks, many private dentists are joining as well.
While on disability, I actually enrolled in a dental plan - even though I continued to pay for insurance through my former employee. When I needed to have a post removed from my front tooth, I found a wonderful endodontist in Manhattan (Dr. Michael J. Collura), located at 121 East 60th Street, who was a plan participant. When I learned that the procedure would not be covered through my insurance, I was able to get it done for 50% off his private dental fee rate. While the procedure was done in less than 2 minutes, it was for half the cost which is what the main advantage of these types of low cost dental plans was all about. For some dental procedures involving bridgework, root canals, or orthodontics, these savings can be substantial.
Many dental discount plan networks include such popular programs as Aetna, Cigna, Careington, HealthPlus and Orthocare. All offer affordable plans for single, married and groups of people, which include dental savings on a wide range of procedures:
For a few dollars per month, it is possible to enroll in an affordable dental plan that will provide routine dental services for less than half of listed dental fees. Dental plan networks have a high number of qualified, highly skilled affordable dentists, instant online acceptance, no claim forms or annual maximum limits.
