The hazy, lazy days of summer is almost at an end (sigh!). Time to get the kids ready for school. This means yearly check ups at the dentist! I just added dental videos to the website and will be including a section just for kids. Its a great learning tool for kids.

Dental Treatment Planning

Before you agree to have dental work performed, you should have a clear understanding of what procedures will be involved. A dental treatment plan is a contract with your dental provider. The treatment plan should outline both the goals and nature of the treatment as well as the expected costs. The Effects of Smoking on Oral Health

Everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health. But did you know how much damage is done to the teeth and gums by the consumption of nicotene? Oral cancer, bad breath, black hairy tongue are just some of the effects. Gum recession, delayed healing of the gums, periodontal disease, (smoker's palate), as well as staining and tar deposits on the teeth can also occur. This article looks at oral cancer in more depth.
